Overall, a good introductory text that every member in a startup team should read. It’s a handbook for anyone who has an idea and needs to build relationships to get it off the ground. Growing things—whether a company, a project, or a church—from scratch is hard business. Get Backed will prepare you in almost every way for your next fundraising effort. Although there’s no shortage of advice on fundraising, “most of it is terrible,” Loomis notes.

This book is full of great examples, inspiring stories, and very friendly and easy to understand to those who just started their venture or thinking about starting one. This is the one of the books that every entrepreneur should have and I could see myself carrying it around with me all the time.
